You read that right- 46 total hours in airports. Almost longer than the time we spent at our destination. That’s what my family of 5 dealt with two weekends ago as we arrived at DIA around 10 at night on Thursday July 18, just as the outages were beginning to affect flights.

None of them feel like “me”; they’re all just my ambassador.

Skipping the pleasantries, I went straight to, “Do you guys need something?”

The large Native man squared up to me, huffed, and pulled out a glock, that was at the level of my chest after he bent his elbow upward to point it at me.

But just a second after landing the throw, the whole unit detonates in a blast that shakes the block. The guts of her home expel across the very small lawn and street in front.

I suppose this is the true goal of any passion- to develop your own reasons and experiences that enhance your commitment. It’s all part of the growing process and deciding what aspects of the game and the players’ work ethic I can apply to my own life.

By learning music theory first, we’re learning the “correct” ways to play scales and chords, we drill the patterns into our heads, and recall them from memory. Conversely, when we allow ourselves to “mess around” for as long as possible and get familiar with the sounds that we enjoy hearing and playing, we develop our skill free of limitations and attuned to our natural instincts.
